I have been playful with a lot of the images that I am using. It keeps things interesting. How about 100 rooms like you might find in an adventure game? You could visit them in sequence and visualisa your information in them.
Every 10 rooms can use the colour white then the colours I use to represent 1 to 9. So room 01 can use colour 1 to decorate a lot of it; then room 02 can use colour 02 to decorate a lot of it. Room 10 will use white as the main colour fill. This continues to 100.
I also designed 10 types of room outline shape. So places 00 to 09 use this pattern:
Room 00, 01, 02, all the way to Room 09 use that shape and colour fill it; but they also use floor patterns.
I made 100 floor patterns. I actually made them for a 10,000 places system; but I thought that I could introduce them early in the course by using them in a 100 places system: this 100 Adventure Rooms system.
Each room is very easy to recall, I think, because I know its main colur based on the 2nd digit of the two digit number. Eg. Room 87 uses room shape 8 and colour fill 7 fron the Colours article. Hopefully, the floor pattern will be remembered too.
Here are the 10 room shapes:
And that leads to the 100 rooms:
Here are the floor designs:
200 Floors Method
The 10,000 location article is intended to use 200 floors rather than 100 floors because it increases variety and reduces sameyness of locations visually.
I want floor 100 to be roughly the same topic as floor 00.
I want floor 101 to be roughly the same topic as floor 01.
I want floor 102 to be roughly the same topic as floor 02.
And so on. If I can learn this adventure room system then knowledge of the floors 00 to 99 will help me to remember the floors from 100 to 199.
